Sullivan House
A Member of the HomeBridge Community since 1993.

Owned by St. Paul's Home.

Operated by HomeBridge Youth Society.

Located in Halifax.
The Sullivan House program’s current mandate focuses on providing care for youth, 12 years of age and over who are or have been involved in sexual exploitation.

History
When this program opened in February 1993 it was in response to a request to HomeBridge to provide a safe house for youth actively involved in sexual exploitation. At that time, Sullivan House was located in a vacant unit of the Nova Scotia Hospital, but the program moved to the current house in Halifax in 1995. Over the years the mandate transitioned to work with female residents under 18 years of age with a focus on preparation for independent living. In January 2020 HomeBridge officially changed the program once again to support a request by the Department of Community Services to provide further supports and services for youth-in-care who have experienced sexual trauma.
