HomeBridge Youth Society offers an interdisciplinary approach to youth care in six child caring facilities around the metro area as well as Bridges for Learning, an accredited school program. Youth under 19 experience therapeutic interventions, support, and opportunities with a focus on evidence-based approaches to stabilization, education and life skills.  Does this sound appealing to you?

We are currently looking for Youth Care Workers (full-time, part-time and casual) to join our team!

​

Here's what you need to get an interview

  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in the Social Science or Humanities field OR possess a Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Services from a recognized program.

  • A combination of experience, training, and education in an alternative field will also be considered.

Skills and Abilities

  • Working understanding of current Youth Care Practices

  • Awesome inter-personal, communication and organizational skills

  • An ability to connect with young people who are resistant to developing relationships

  • Teamwork and a desire to have fun at work

  • Open and willing to work shift work, including overnights, weekends and holidays

  • Valid certification in First Aid/CPR, (ASIST) Suicide Intervention, NVCI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Mental Health First Aid are considered assets

What we can offer you

  • $21.32 - $28.45 an hour (benefits vary depending on casual, part-time or full-time designations)

  • Shift premium rates are applied on nights and weekends ($2.25 per hour on nights and weekends)

  • Please note - we are a Unionized workplace  and our Collective Agreement is currently under negotiation with wage increases expected in the near future
